Hi friends!

You know, life has this funny way of presenting turns, not unexpected ones, but just turns that sort of sneak up on you. With Teagan in her junior year and Taylor kickstarting her freshman year, the house, well, it’s gotten a tad quieter. While Luna, our lovable black lab mix, and I have enjoyed our extended hikes, I found myself with a new perspective on things. How am I going to make the most of this new phase in life?

The empty nest phase has its melancholy moments, but it also comes with a silver lining. It gives new perspective of waking up and thinking, “What do I want my work to look like today?” “How will I spend my afternoon when I finish my project commitments?” Maybe trail run, or maybe finish that house project? Perhaps spend a lazy day with Luna, our ever-energetic black lab mix? Or just pack up and surprise the kids in college! Ah, the freedom!

But here’s a truth bomb – freedom isn’t just about time; it’s about finances too. Whether you’re thinking of bidding adieu to your 9 to 5 or you’re just looking to spruce up your bank account with an additional revenue stream, have you ever considered creating a digital course?

Enter the magic of digital courses, specifically Amy Porterfield’s Course Creation Bootcamp.

I can hear the raised eyebrows from here. “A digital course? Why?”

Well, let me break it down for you.

In August 2020, I had a thought, “I should create a course that helps managers have more effective and energizing virtual meetings.” In my career, I had sat through so many boring, and quite frankly “waste-of-my-time” meetings, and as the pandemic ran its course, and so many teams were thrown home to work, I was witnessing torturous virtual meetings left and right. I knew in my heart I could help managers be more productive, engaging, and connect with their teams. I knew I could help employees feel more valued, contribute more to the effectiveness of the team initiatives, and just love their jobs more.

But here’s the thing: All of us have a wealth of knowledge tucked away. Whether it’s mastering the perfect trail run, teaching first year coaches how to lead a sports team, or navigating the intricacies of making the perfect gluten free dessert, someone out there is yearning for that expertise.

Which brings me to the big reveal! If you’re thinking about venturing into the world of digital courses but aren’t quite sure how to navigate the waters, Amy Porterfield’s Course Creation Bootcamp is the lifebuoy you need. Wondering why? Here’s why I’m beyond thrilled I made that decision:

1. Discovering My Value: With Amy’s guidance, I unearthed skills and expertise I’d taken for granted. The Bootcamp helped me package it all into a neat, marketable course.

2. Demystifying Technology: Not gonna lie, tech can be daunting. But the Bootcamp equipped me with tools and know-how to create a seamless online course experience.

3. Community Support: Dive into an enthusiastic community of like-minded individuals. Share, learn, and grow together. It’s like having a cheerleading squad, 24/7!

4. Step-by-Step Guidance: Amy’s Bootcamp isn’t just a crash course; it’s a journey. From brainstorming to launching, every step was carefully mapped out, eliminating guesswork.

5. Financial Flexibility: I won’t sugarcoat it. The additional revenue from my digital courses have opened doors to more adventures, college visits, and yes, even splurging on that (or many) fancy dog toys for Luna!

Since that time, I have created several digital courses, and even a community membership for learning and development professionals.

With my digital courses up and running, I’ve tapped into a level of freedom I didn’t know was possible. Time freedom to pursue passions, and financial freedom to support them.

So, for those of you pondering what the next chapter holds, remember this: Your knowledge is valuable. Sharing it can enrich others, and with the right guidance (thanks, Amy!), it can transform your world too.

Wishing you all the courage to leap and discover!

With warmth and gratitude,

Dani
